We're in the Loop

An inductive loop for assisted listening that is.

St. Timothys has temporarily installed a portable inductive loop system (photos are of the installation). An inductive loop system creates a magnetic field that works with the T-Coil (telecoil) installed in many hearing aids.

According to the Canadian Hearing Society (www.chs.ca) nearly 1 in 4 Canadians report having some hearing loss. Doing what we can to make our services as accessible as possible is an important priority for us, and the early feedback has been incredibly positive.

If hearing loss has been keeping you from attending church, join us for a service and experience the difference. The system will be in place until January 7, 2018. While your hearing aid must have a T-Coil to work with the inductive loop, we do have a couple of portable listeners (which have a T-Coil in them) and headphones so you can hear the difference. You can try the portable listeners if your hearing aid does not have a T-Coil, or if your just curious about how it works.
