A Welcome and a Goodbye

Following an extensive search for a new rector, St. Timothy's Anglican Church is proud to announce that we have found one. The Rev. Anthony Arza-Kwaw has accepted the position of Rector starting August 1, 2016.

Rev. Anthony received his BA in Biblical Studies, Theology, and Philosophy at Saint Peter University Seminary in Ghana. He also received an MA in Pastoral Studies from Saint Paul University in Ottawa; a Diploma in Management from Université de Moncton with concentration in Canadian Human Resources Management; and an MBA from the University of NB with concentration in Strategic and Financial Management. He has many years of knowledge and experience in pastoral, congregational, and community outreach ministry and a parish ministry characterized by his ability to minister to people from all walks of life, including youth, the elderly, poor, needy and the marginalized. We are delighted to welcome Anthony and his family to St. Timothy's and look forward to a long and rewarding journey together.

And, while we are delighted to have a new permanent rector, it means we must say goodbye to the Reverend Cannon Maureen Crerar. Rev. Maureen stepped in, on short notice, as the Interim Priest in Charge almost a year ago when St. Timothy's unexpectedly was without a rector. Over her relatively brief tenure at St. Timothy's she shared her spirituality, kindness and love with us. All of us at St. Timothy's extend our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Rev. Maureen and wish her the best in the future.
