It's that time of year again. Yup, that's right, the time of year when we find out who will win the Golden Halo? What? You're asking what is the Golden Halo?

** Keep reading to find out more and find out how you can join in.

The Golden halo is the coveted title awarded to the remaining saint at the end of Lent madness. Lent Madness began in 2010 as the brainchild of the Rev. Tim Schenck. In seeking a fun, engaging way for people to learn about the men and women comprising the Church’s Calendar of Saints, Tim came up with this unique Lenten devotion. You can find out all about Lent Madness at http://www.lentmadness.org/.

Each day two saints (out of the starting pool of 32) are pitted against each other in a tournament format and participants vote for their favourite. The winner moves to the next round of 16 and then a round of 8. Finally it's down to the Faithful four and then the championship round where that las two compete to be awarded the Golden halo.

The fun starts March 2, but you can join in anytime. There are a number of ways to participate. (1) Receive daily updates via email. (2) Follow on the Lent Madness Facebook page Lent Madness. (3) Buy the 2017 Saintly Scorecard eBook (http://www.forwardmovement.org/…/2017-saintly-scorecard.aspx). (4) Request a copy of the Saintly Scorecard from Brian or Sally at St. Timothy's (of contact us via the contact page on the website).

Once you're all setup you can vote (most days Mon-Fri) on the Lent Madness website and help your favourite saint grab the Golden Halo.

If at anytime you have any issues or questions drop in on a Sunday and grill Brian or Sally, or, contact us via the contact page on the website.
